Sound and Music

Besides listening, I produce, record, mix, and design sound. I currently play guitar and produce music with a band called Calliope and have been a hired gun for bands like the Delta Routine, Myles Coyne and Brett Newski. Below are a sound design projects, independent and collaborative music productions:

Writing, recording and mixing my debut studio album.

Writing, recording and mixing a short EP with LA/MKE singer, Cookie Johnson

A synth-wave Bruce Springsteen cover

Recording and mixing YLLA’s full length album.

Recording and mixing Calliope’s latest album, Orbis.

What started as an independent recording project ended up as a Calliope song. It was featured on the Sound of Young Milwaukee, a compilation album put out by Top Five Records. I engineered and mixed the track. It was mastered by Carl Saff.

I had the pleasure of laying down some fuzzy guitar riffs for Chuck Zink’s 2014 solo record, 95% Zink.

Guitar for Myles Coyne

A barn burnin’ bluegrass track I recorded for The Lousy Trouts

Birong (Brandon Miller) wrote the songs, I helped produce, record and mix them.

I had the privilege and distinct pleasure of working with the China Test Girls film crew (formerly known as Snapshot), running sound for a few scenes and writing score material. The film is currently in post production and will be screening sometime in 2015!

I did sound design for this entry in the 2009 48 hour film fest in Auckland, NZ.

An abstract composition I arranged for choreographer Ben Follensbee’s “In the Flesh.” This dance was a part of the UWM Dancemaker’s 2011 Spring Show. I used various sound samples and an ARP 2500.

Some simple circuit bending of a classic toy microprocessor. I didn’t do much. I just wired it to a quarter inch jack for recording purposes.

An ambient composition using Absynth and an Arp 2500.
